![]() ![]() The “Lecture Notes” table is exactly what it sounds like: each entry on the table is a page of lecture notes. This can be extremely helpful if I need to check a note from a previously class or look up which professor I had for a specific course. ![]() This allows me to see important information at a glance, but the database also allows me to keep track of my GPA, credits earned, and other important archival information about my time at MTSU. Instead of trying to include all of that information for getting started here, I’m going to show you how I use Notion, so you can see it in action for yourself to decide whether the time investment is worth it or not.Īt the top of the page is some metadata, which feeds into the larger “All Classes” database. Also, Notion has a number of tutorials and guides to help you get started, and there are approximately a million online resources dedicated to helping newbies get the hang of the app ( Thomas Frank Explains is a wonderful place to start). It’s not the most intuitive app to use right off the bat, but I promise you the time you invest into it will pay dividends in the future. ![]() However, that versatility comes with a cost (thankfully not a monetary one), and that cost comes in the form of a learning curve. It’s basically a blank canvas that you can mold however you see fit, and that makes it incredibly versatile for every user. It’s hard to describe Notion concisely because it does so much, but in essence, it’s an all-in-one productivity tool that allows you to organize information in whatever way makes sense to you.
